In the city that never sleeps, the concrete jungle, so good they named it twice.

Having been on a grocery run the night before we had all the necessary supplies for bacon and pancakes which Hayley whipped up for us all, and then the first item on the agenda on our first day in the big apple was an exciting trip to Suds to drop off our laundry! Can I just say that having easy access to the internet again might just be the ...

They had some amazing cakes, we both brought a small one each, they were amazing, but we couldn't eat them all, we should have shared. ... However, without being tight with our money we still managed to get around the city and to see everything we wanted to.

It helped knowing we will be back in NYC in a couple of weeks after our trip upstate, so we could relax a little knowing we didn't have to ram absolutely everything into 4 days.

It was my 25th visit to NYC (Rachael), the cars looked smaller and less ...

This morning we had the Statue of Liberty booked for a 9 am ferry departure. Best to book this around 2 months beforehand when they usually go on sale, especially if you want to walk the 354 steps to the crown. The 9 am departure was a good move as we didn't have the big crowds when we got to the statue. You also get nice views of the Manhattan skyline from the ferry.
There is a free audio tour but when we got to the lockers to store our bags ...
