Thank you for another lovely hot day, Mother Nature! Today we got a number of the "must-dos" done. So in order: Rockerfeller - I was surprised that they already had the ice skating rink up and running... That's something I'd love to do in the winter. There were so many people partaking - I'm not sure I'd want to waste a good 23 degree day, but would love to do it when it's colder. Central Park - I can't believe how huge a space this thing ...
... were tinted ;).....Apparently he comes into NYC about once a month, and well, I timed it to perfection. My first three days in NYC have been jam packed full of new sights, sounds, people and an abundance of blessings. So here goes.....I landed in on Saturday night and was met by the smiling face of my old friend Ilze. We caught a 'yellow' cab across town to Harlem and dragged my suitcase up 6 flights of stairs, well Ilze did anyway ;) a home cooked meal awaited ...

I was dropped off at the door of my hotel Adria Hotel and Conference Centre and I checked into my room. The receptionist was lovely she gave me a few brochures to have a look at and handed over the keys. My room was so clean it was fantastic to see, nothing worse than staying in a dirty apartment.

... to areas that looked green or blue. So our first stop was the Catskills (green). They are located 100 miles North East of NYC and are a 700,000 acre forest preserve. We were driving through with no fixed plans, or a place to stay for the night, just enjoying the scenery. ... However, without being tight with our money we still managed to get around the city and to see everything we wanted to.
It helped knowing we will be back in NYC in a couple of weeks after our trip upstate, so we could relax a little knowing we didn't have to ram absolutely everything into 4 days.
