From our overnight at Lake Hubbard, we drove to Dallas to the George W. Bush Presidential Library, a request from Jimmy. EXCELLENT choice- so interesting, from the first exhibit about the American pastime of baseball ( and ALL the Presidents involvements), to the Response to 9-11 exhibit, and the Oval Office reproduction. Our next stop was to relive November 22, 1963. The sixth floor of the Book Depository building at Dealey Plaza was full of ...

However, with my upcoming trip to Peru and Bolivia; I can't spin the hands of the clock fast ...

We had an uneventful flight (the best kind) from Sacramento to Dallas-Fort Worth, the hub airport for American Airlines. We needed to be at the Sacramento Airport by 0630. That meant an early 0600 hours pickup by the limo transport and getting up at 0445 to be showered, coffee'd up and ready to go. It was freezing when we left home and colder in Dallas. Luckily, we're not outside. There was a lot of snow-covered ground as we flew east. I'm not a ...

    Just a short one,

Before I arrived in Albuquerque, I stopped off in Dallas, Texas. This was just so I could catch the connection flight into New Mexico. By this time I was very excited to get started on the activities in New Mexico and meeting my host family (more about them in the next blog). Just had some breakfast ...
