We had a crazy weekend mixed with multiple festivities (including the awesome game of True American), however, kayaking along Saluda Shoals was probably the coolest thing I have done in Columbia yet. It was slightly windy but overall the weather was beautiful. We put in and paddled upstream against the current (bound to be sore the next day).

We reached the dam about a mile or ...

... River Trail, we crossed the footbridge and finished Oakridge Trail at Wise Lake. We then followed Weston Lake Loop Trail back to the boardwalk. I scared some dude when I went to empty my pee pot in the field behind the truck ...

... and Columbia isn't the most exciting town. But now, I am glad I didn't over think it because this is turning into the best year of my life.

PASOs (a nonprofit organization for bridging the gap between Latino families and public health resources) has been an unexpected life changing experience. I have never been more appreciated of a job and felt more appreciated as an employee. This is the first job I have ever had that did not send me home ...

Ben and I are so fortunate to have been able to take this amazing trip. Going back 43 days ago, on the first leg, we say thanks to Cindy and Earl for our short but fun stay in Minneapolis. Next I must comment on Great Alaskan Holidays who hooked us up with Winnie for our 5 weeks of travel. The motor home was the perfect way to see all the sights and I would recommend this mode to anyone. We have seen many areas of the lower USA that have been on our ...
