190 East El Camino Real Mountain View, California, United States, 94040, 650-962-1500
It's pretty hard to believe how much work goes into a trip of this magnitude. We have spent 6 months in total planning and preparing for this adventure, the last month of which was spent by me (Kris) exclusively researching the area in depth.

Mountain View, California, United States happyjoanna... fit in as much as possible" grind, and I'm happy to be home with my kitties, where I can easily phone a friend, go out Tango dancing (something I'd hoped to do in Rome, but was way too bogged down with sleep deprivation and a bad cold), and just plain communicate! But I'm also sad to have my bubble of no-worries-except-getting-to-the-next-m useum-or-train-station-on-time burst. (Okay, there were also the ongoing problems of finding the next meal and toilette. ;)) Back to ...
Mountain View, California, United States melissadI can't believe it has been a week since I started this adventure. So far everything I have seen and done has been great. I left Reno this morning and arrived in Mountain View around 1:30 this afternoon. I will be going into San Francisco much of this week and plan on leaving on Saturday or Sunday. Please take the time to sign my guest book so that I know who has been here. Thank You .
Mountain View, California, United States gstfire... things happen: yelling over kids voices for their attention, trash strewn all over the yard, unfinished art projects...do they just not care? But each morning, I am reminded, "today I can choose to love on them and gain their trust or be an angry disciplinarian all day long." And the latter option only leaves me with a hoarse voice and frustration. So what do we do? Well that was exactly that, Some of ...
Oakland, California, United States banderson19... that, I started realizing I was in America, San Francisco! As soon as we got off the bridge, leaving the city, the fog changed to a wanderful sun. It was like a border between the city and the rest. Amazing! Mage was driving, and I was admiring the views - hills, palm trees, colourful flowers... On the way to camp we also had a lunch at Taco Bell`s. I had buritos (Taco Bell is a Mexican fastfood). In a little while we were arriving to camp...
San Francisco, California, United States bogna... form a treacherous, pinnacled layer that is difficult at the best of times to walk on. The main claim to fame of Death Valley is that it is the lowest and hottest place on the continental United States, and at 282ft below sea level at its lowest point, with regular temperatures in the day over 110f, I wasn't going to argue with that. Something I had wanted to see, but which I neither had the time or car for, was the so-called 'Racecourse'. On it, huge chunks of granite seem to ...
San Francisco, California, United States charleslamb1985... reflecting off several mirrored buildings to fill the glass room with warmth. After a tired ride home, and our Vancouver broccoli and pasta for dinner (which we failed to declare when crossing the border... don't tell :), we finished the night with a thousand images blazing through our sleeping memories and weaving into stories lovely and true. Reality and the tick of a clock woke us early, and satisfied with a sound dreamless sleep, we toasted bread for a new day.
San Francisco, California, United States rachelbuckhamThursday morning began as usual with free bagels and coffee for breakfast before a walk down the Embarcadero, checking out malls and funky little shops. Had a packed lunch in the park before entering the San Francisco Museum Of Modern Art which cost $10 but was well worth it. Lisa did Art at Uni but doesn't use it much except for gifts for her buddies. She was in her element in this gaff as she analysed and gave her interpretations of some of the paintings ...
