Ok, here I go... This is the blog page for my trip to South America. For those of you bored enough to log on, I will try my best to keep my blogs and pictures up to date. I'll also try to keep the material interesting. Tomorrow is the big day and I am quite excited, why ...
San Diego, California, United States christian.rodasMy kids just love the Balboa Park. December Nights in Balboa Park is one annual family event we try to enjoy every year. So this time we are going to San Diego to check out the festivities in Balboa Park on December 4th and 5th. Balboa Park is delightfully lit up with sparkling lights. The best part is a chance to savor lip smacking delicacies from different countries ranging from ...
San Diego, California, United States carenmorgan9... remember the Seaport Village and the Marriott Hotel we stayed in.
From there we drove to the Gaslamp Quarter. We had pizza and watched football in a tiny corner shop for Thanksgiving dinner, then went to the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. Logan had a regular ice cream sundae and I had a peanut butter and dark chocolate sundae. A good food day and a lot to be thankful for.
... earlier flight. No dice -- and the airport was extremely crowded. I've decided I don't like the San Diego airport. Our flight was 30 minutes delayed -- not too bad, but still annoying on a Friday evening when all you want to do is get home.
But ... on the bright side ... no traffic upon our arrival, so I reached home in time for dinner.
... to thank all the people I have talked to that have helped me shape this trip. Information from squash players, friends, co-workers, random people I have met - it has all be very helpful. Thanks! Hopefully this blog will inspire you to take a trip somewhere in the near future. Below is the projected itinerary Makely and I are planning on taking around the world but we are also trying to leave a lot of ...
San Diego, California, United States chrisquared... white tennissocks (note:disturbing trend like white men wearing caps with a straight rim. The question I have is, how do those socks not fall to their ankles, what is their secret?) walked into the trolley and one of them got into a slight mix up with another essay who must be from a rival gang because they where screaming their 'turf' names (which incidentally was also a tramstop). All the essays insede the trolley got all riled ...
San Diego, California, United States nataschab... too soon, as Mel can't feel the ends of her fingers!
After cleaning up, we walked or rather hobbled around to Panda Express for dinner. We have used muscles in the last couple of days that we had forgotten existed and Mel especially is walking like a Barbie Doll (all stiff and straight-legged for anyone who has never owned a Barbie!). We fell into bed looking forward to our lie-in in the morning - a 7am start!
... on it. The best I got out of it was that some were from Canada (which DH joked that "well, that's NORTH isn't it?), and some were from the West Coast; none were that tasty. I think I will just stick with Japanese oysters. For my entree, I had a Lobster Club with truffled fries. It was good, kind of like a BLT with hunks of lobster and avocado. The fries were fantastic, and I even enjoyed the housemade ketchup. Although, I did take ...

After all, had i taken the job in Temecula, I probably would have not been able to give it my all or enjoy it because the grueling commute. so my last day was on March 16, 2007, which marked the starting of the endless summer. this was not necessarily a bad time for me, after all, i did live in San Diego still, which is the closest anywhere in the US is going to get to Hawaii. I did have great friends around me, so ...
San Diego, California, United States aushiroBoot camp - what more can I say? 8 weeks of hell, at least from my perspective. I'm sure the Army and Marine guys would disagree, but it was bad enough to me. After boot camp came 6 weeks of "A" school, where I received my formal training to become a Navy Cook. Yes, that's right - I was a cook in the Navy ...
