So back to my adventure-
Drove back to Debs for a couple days R and R then drove to San Diego to visit with Cindy and her sisters (another story).

Netter Abend, bei ca. 5 Grad auf der Veranda mit zwei Paaren aus Arizona, eine leiht mir sogar Ihre Decke, weils saukalt ist. Red aus England bei der Busfahrt kennengelernt und reisen jetzt fuer eine Weile miteinander. Am naechste Morgen Wanderung zu den Felsenmalereien und nach ein wenig suchen, haben wir diese auch gefunden. Sehr schoene Wueste mit vielen alten Kakteen, bis zu 400 Jahre laut unserem Rancher

... serene, quiet location beside Lake Elsinore - have great fire going and it is still over 70 degrees - Oh how good that heat feels after all the rotten weather I have had for most of the month! Some wonderful moments this evening.

After more playing around I returned the bling and we went on out way. This really was one of the weirdest nights of my life. ... Balboa Park for a little while, but we were pretty tired of walking so we called it a day and went back to the hotel. That night we went out to dinner with some of Rick's work friends. We decided to go to Old Town since it was close by. All of Old Town was incredibly busy, and we ended up eating at a mexican food place. I go all the way to California, and I end up having mexican food (it's not exactly hard to come by in Texas.)

... I had to sit down right there in the line in order to not pass out (something that to this day I have never done). Not a good start to a cruise. I knew that damn salad dressing last night should have been *cold* and not warm. I barely made it through check in before I, uh, started to hurl. So I missed out on the first night's activities.
