... of souvenir sellers and shops. The vantage point takes away the bottom 15 feet or so of all of the buildings because of the tree line. It makes everything look very clean. I also saw couples kissing on the banks of the Seine which made me feel like I was getting my money’s worth; even though my own romantic partner is absent.

There is a military museum of some kind at Napoleon’s home. Catherine says that it is a common ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States 3beansabroad... out of the corn** of my eye that she had should**-length red hair and was wearing a tight-ish white tank top.

I didn't really think anything of it, nor have a reason to really look at h** prop**ly until I realised she had really bad BO, that you would normally only smell coming from some kind of smelly man. Wond**ing what kind of woman would make such a stench, I looked ov** at h** only to find that she was a really creepy ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States angelaincanada... br>
Our end cost, all included (including souveniers)for 3 people for 15 days was $8,700.

The plane fair from Richmond to TelAviv was $1,050 per person taxes and fee included. This was after lots of daily checking and buying tickets at almost their low point about 10 wweks out from the trip. I also discovered that, at least with US AIR flights on TH, F, SA were slightly more expensive. By 3 weeks away ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States leafmold... couple bars and played "The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down" five times on the jukebox and we sang every word like it was 1865. We became the hit of the party after asking the bartender to turn it up and to put on the Yankees-Red Sox Game.
We hit the road early in the morning and knew we were going to have a good day when we read signs that said we were entering "Goochland". Next stop...Western Virginia.
Richmond/ Mt. Vernon, Virginia, United States matusz... to change, pack up and head out!

We were finally on the bike and headed south towards Cary, North Carolina to visit Luba’s family at about 12pm.

The ride south was very pleasant. I really enjoy riding on small highways with really tall trees along both sides of the highway. It just seems like a much more peaceful ride. It’s so much different from the west coast riding where there a lot of open space.
Richmond, Virginia, United States hawgbound... We would ride the Superman and whatever crazy rides 6 flags had to offer again and again and again.

Kings Dominion has both a water park and a regular amusement park together. The tickets were something like $55, according to the program coordinator who purchased them. What??? Despite the high price, there were a TON of people. The crowd was really diverse in age and demographics. I saw an old white guy wearing ...
Doswell, Virginia, United States sojanet... drivers who would not give an inch to allow us to merge into the many interstates around town. Drving through West Virginia was a nightmare with the curvey mountain roads that we had to pay to ride on. They sure do need Obama's stimulus money! Charleston was very dirty; we couldn't leave fast enough.

We are home now ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States lstoneham... my image of all historical figures talking like pirates might be misguided, but my elementary school textbooks can't compete with Johnny Depp and his roguish charisma.

It was a fun couple of weeks though, and I need time like that with my mom to supplement our primary communication of Skype calls from 10,000 miles away. From there, it was off to NYC to see the city sans my previous fog of jet-lag and incessant vomiting. Sans. Who talks like that?
Richmond, Virginia, United States dane... pack my bags (or should I say my ONE backpack!) and take a train, then a bus to Valfabbrica, where I will meet my second hosts, Marjatta and Pasquale. On Saturday, August 16, I'm off to Rome and the Vatican for three days. Then, the evening of Monday the 18th, after a long day in Rome, I catch a ferry in Civitavecchia and travel overnight to Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. I spend one day and night in Cagliari, and then travel to the less ...
Richmond, Virginia, United States marthakOrdination day started with breakfast at Denny's. This Denny's does not have the peach French toast on the menu that the Denny's in Plano had, so I settled for scrambled eggs. Dallas and I then headed to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart for the Richmond ordination. We sat with fellow seminarians from Theological College: Jamie (Washington, DC), Jan (Slovakia), and Steven (Brooklyn). The ...
