Quite a few of the other staff members who remembered Fred came up to say hello, and also the owner Carlton, who was very friendly and made a point of coming over to chat with us. After stocking up on some parts for the RV, Fred, Kate & ...

Arrived Treetops Carefree RV Resort

Our worse day of travel so far. Started out in Oklahoma City with light rain - a straight shot south on I-35 into Ft Worth, Texas. On our way we encounted heavy rain and high winds. We counted at least 5 major accidents, cars and tractor trailers were all over the highway both in the median and off the edge of the road. Our total average speed was 45 MPH. Our drive was suppose to be a 3 hr drive; it took us 5 hrs.

I can smell the cold...

I am in Fort Worth right now at my moms place. I drove up here monday afternoon and spent a day and change with a friend beforehand. We ended up retiring relatively early so that we would be able to wake up bright and early and do a bit of day walking. 7am ingestion. What an experience. Found myself once again as I often do when out there. Became everything.

Total run from about 8am to 2pm. Talked talked talked. Good thing I have great ...

I always liked going to their house because there would be kids my age to play with. I am a whopping 2 days older than Linda! For the last several years, Linda and I have kept in contact via email and she has been following us on this trip blog, so I emailed her that I ...

A wedding at Piccolo Mondo...

Well, David got married, yes, he did! At age 47 and to an irreverent, hilarious petite blonde airline pilot who wore a very snazzy black and white, halter-top cocktail dress with backless high heels. And many of the Texas lady guests also wore black and heels. LR, however, did not. I appeared in black patent flats (but they were okayed by Annika, for God's sake), a longish cream and red print dress, and a pair of damned old horn ...
