Before I depart for the great land to the South, I made the wise decision to remove the Great Dane that had taken up residence on top of my head.
Now sleek, cool, and low maintenance, my new do is ready for prime time, and skipping regularly scheduled showers...
This is how I look before the trip, hopefully my appearance does not alter too much, and I return much the same, with all limbs intact.

We finally made it to our first destination: Atlanta. We originally
were supposed to fly to Detroit and then on to LA but our flight from
Detroit was delayed and we would have missed our connecting flight to
Sydney. Last minute we were able to get on a flight to Atlanta as per
Deltas recommendation. We did not get to sit together on this flight
but nick sat directly in front of me. Not terrible. Flight to Atlanta
was 2 hours.

Zac and I got on the small plane at Kona, HI at 4:40pm on Monday 28th. I dropped into Andy's arms in Crazy Fish at 3:30pm Tuesday 29th. That's a lot of traveling!! Felt so good to be with Andy, Maudie and Crazy Fish life once again. Nothing makes home sweeter than being away.

Yeah I had some fun during this trip, but the most of it was pretty disappointing. Almost exactly like last year, people I know just haven’t changed when it comes to going out of your way for somebody else.

I was in the US for 2 weeks exactly. I didn’t have a properly working cell phone, I was showing my boyfriend (who’s never been to the USA) around, I didn’t have car insurance, and I had major issues concerning ...

When he asked me "what is there to see in Atlanta?", all I could think of was "the world of Coke, the Aquarium, midtown..." The world of Coke didn't really interest him that much (I went to the original back in 2000 when first moving here, NOT worth it...), and since he's a vegetarian, seeing the Aquarium kind of goes against his principles of ...

... living room, a closet / hallway, a WC (tiny room with just a toilet), a bathroom / laundry room (just a bathtub and sink), a kitchen (with a couch), and my back “porch” overlooking the Transsiberian railroad.

I’m happy with these “smaller” living standards; I’ve got the basic necessities! I guess my age also affects my preferences, I’m sure that when I’m older, I’ll want a bigger house, etc…

Weird: that's how I felt as the plane touched ground at the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson airport. It had been about one full year since I last stepped on Georgia clay, the single step on the ground seemed to be more meaningful and different as opposed to the ordinary steps I took years ago...

... after all. We now have relaxed in Atlanta with George & Joanne, camped out in their condo parking, for a few days and Monday morning we will head out to North Carolina and EveryBus. George & Joanne can't get away until Tuesday so we won't wait for them as we are antsy to get moving again and get to Hagen Stone Park and get set up and relax before all are other VW friends show up.
