Although my last blog was my final one in terms of our stay in Thailand, I just wanted to you know some of my thoughts before we left there.
My feelings were so mixed when I left. I had no idea that I would literally fall in love with a country and culture so very different from ours and that was so hard to think of letting go of at the time. Yet at the same time there was always this underlying ache for my kids, my grandkids, and my dear friends back ...
... the ride, tried to learn some Spanish, counted horses, looked for license plates, and eventually I fell asleep. Chad made fun of me because I felt myself drooling while I was asleep, so I took a paper towel and made a bib. He said I was the oldest person he knew who wore a bib while sleeping. I used the safe word about three times today. So far, I'm the only one who has used it, but I usually use it as a joke because it really does make me laugh.
