I'm older now. Oh hell, let's face it. I'm old. I know that sometimes plans are meant to be just that. Plans. Nothing more. And that's ok. Life is full of more important things than taking on often overly-ambitious plans. Like taking a break when the signs are there. Like slowing down to enjoy a day without distractions -- and never leaving the house (even someone else's house.) Like taking time to live in a new place, even for a day.
... the lower socio-economical part of town was filled with incredible architecture and inevitable stories.We'll be back.
Being a passenger on this trip has been interesting -- riding along the same proverbial trails I drove last year on our jaunt is both recognizable and eye-opening. It's a changed South from that of my childhood. So many remnants of places past, with the ghosts of mom and pop businesses and independent businesses long gone mingling with new construction ...

Next was the AT&T store to add a few more days to my phone plan as it expires on the 21st and I need the phone till the 28th. She told me to get a $2 a day plan and pay for it now but I have to call them on the 21st to change it over. She couldn't just change it there and then. Some things are never easy.
