It was a good 2 day break in Jacksonville Fl. It was heavy rains the two days so stayed indoors mostly. On Saturday our initial plan was to head south towards daytona but the weather man said it was heavy rains in the south. So we planned some site seeing up north hence went towards St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island in Georgia. Well, since i wasn't able to cross thru Georgia this was the opportunity.

Lunch at Peppers Mexican restaurant (Cause nothing says long motorcycle ride like Mexican food) with my Mom and Dad, step son and the executive pastor of my Mom and Dads church, Mark Barnes. ... good for them to snack on. However, a horse wandered into the site late in the middle of the night and hung around for a while. He pushed his way through the brush smelling around for some food. That was pretty nuts.
In the morning we woke up early for a swim in the ocean and another freezing shower. We boarded the ferry back to Georgia and are currently driving to St. George Island in Florida.
... days ago, we left Hidden Harbor, and traveled about five miles downstream to Morningstar Marina at Golden Isles, just across a bridge from St. Simon’s Island. We are meeting friends from Grafton Harbor, Rhonda and Dave Lang, who arrive tomorrow. The Langs keep their boat, Cat’s Meow, docked at Morningstar nowadays and we look forward to spending some time with them.
