6th St in Austin is the place to go. Pubs Clubs and the Museum of the Wierd.
We did have fun in the evening. Too stuffed to go far so we went to the TexMex restaurant next door. Dale Watson was playing and we had a great time. Good entertainer and coming to Melbourne in November/December.
We were the last to leave. kicked out again.

... Most days I had to cruise round town reporting on unofficial parties for SXSW to earn my badge which wasn't so bad. My two partners - Spence the firefighter and Jezzika the 'kooky' Asian UT student would join me for the rounds and we'd load up on all the free drinks and free swag we could find before searching out the next party.
