    ... getting away from their wives but no other 23 year olds carrying cordless gas straighteners (elly's not mine). We went for another dip in the Rhine as it is so refreshing after a day in the sun, and now enjoying more cold German beer ( Gaffel Kolsch) from the campsite which is somehow really cheap, looking forward to more 'spectacular views' along the Rhine gorge tomorrow.     ... took the very sweaty tram back into Koln for some sightseeing around the cathedral which Elly very much enjoyed whilst I checked out the cathedrals pews, luckily she didn't manage to see the downstairs section and I distracted her whilst the people in front of us went down the stairs. The cathedral was too much excitement so we went and grabbed a local gelato before returning to the campsite for a dip in the Rhine to cool off and enjoyed a beer in the sun.     ... bombed by the Allies during WW2. I really liked the city and again we are seeing the city in the summer and at its best time. Cologne of course is also famous for 4711 Eau de Cologne and dates back to the 18th century. We boarded buses and travelled up to Bonn where the AvaVerde had sailed to.     ... I'd probably had checked out my fav tourist haunts (graveyards) and stood outside a museum deciding that the entrance fee wasn't worth the dosh. A city is a city and it reallt depends upon my mood. I guess Koeln can't really compare to the grandeur of Paris...
