... back in Cologne. It is nice to be feel normal, have energy, not want to take a nap every 30 minutes...so, we slept in a little and then headed to town for breakfast. We asked for an American breakfast (snobs?) and she sent us to a hotel about a block away. Actually it was a lot like the food on board but we had a hard boiled egg - and then it's fun to be in the big city. Luckily we are near the city ...

Before dinner we had a farewell Captains Cocktail Party on board followed by a Farewell Captain's Dinner (a 5 star 5 course dinner to die for). The Romans established a settlement at this location on the Rhine about 2000 years ago and it has has continuous settlement ever ...

... going but no one was getting off. Suddenly it was rush hour in New York on a Cologne escalator. People screaming, luggages flying, swear words and people falling over each other. I finally pry the luggage out and grab my grandmother and literally pull them down the platform, I'm afraid of what will happen when the other people get off, they will most likely flip their lids which result in a beating from my grandmother for being so rude to an old lady. I leave them there and ...

... I still find it hard to explain, why such massive buildings are required in the first place. The other significant thing about the place is 4711 cologne....this is where it originates from....is actually related to the address where it was first produced.

Heaps of shopping places, and a double span bridge across the Rhine, but we didn't find a lot else to excite us although to be fair we were only there for a few hours.

Then we were back on ...
