Outside the home, you see two small structures - only big enough to stand in for the Guard to stand in and keep watch. We drove through all the roads, got out and walked among the "what would have been" spectacular azalea gardens, and went to the museum and the greenhouses, saw a bird show, the butterfly gardens, the Victory Garden South, and Mr. Cason's Garden; and made a full day of it anyway.

Definitely worth another stop at a better time of ...

... hot. We heard about raptors (an owl, two hawks, and a vulture) which flew over the crowd during the presentation.

Callaway Gardens is huge. We drove our vehicle to see the many sights. We visited the chapel, the horticulture center, the vegetable garden, and other sights. We walked 4.5 miles today. We were very tired.
