On the way back to the hotel, we popped in to Target to buy a few things, amongst them a six pack of beer, When we got to the checkout a very nice young lady asked to see our ID for the beer. She saw by our eyes we were wondering how we could ever be mistaken for being under 21 and explained she had to scan the ID for the till to work. Unfortunately, we had none and the beer was taken from us! A lesson ...

          ... made it worse, the receptionist told us our room wasn't ready (although we were 30 minutes late) but would find us another. The one she gave us was lovely, it looked out on a huge lake and everything was good. We unpacked, settled in with a couple of beers, had a shower and waited to go down to the 'managers social evening reception' with a free grill and drinks.
