OMG could it get any hotter on our first day here. When we went to the store the car indicated 99 but it was too hot to even be outside.

Our friend Tom, who lives in Winston-Salem, came by to visit and we went out to eat. The restaurant would be cooler than the motorhome since the air conditioner has a hard time keeping it ...

    Day to just drive

Ok, so today we have a really boring update - we drove.

We set out from Washington this morning with the view of making it to Greensboro in North Carolina. But after lunch today we made a decision to press on to Kannapolis or Concord for the night. As we were discussing out options, it made sense to do 2 nights in the heart of Nascar country, and do a solid 5 hour drive to Savannah on Friday morning. So as it plays out, we have all day tomorrow in Charlotte to visit race ...
