... heating. More tales to come, I’m sure. This morning 6 of us hired a van and drove to the mainland border to shop at the Lo Wu Shopping Centre. Shenzhen is a free trade special economic zone so lots of shopping with many brand names. You do need to bargain and the salespeople can be quite assertive and in your face. It was a first time situation for one of the teachers and her teenage daughter so they were quite overwhelmed. I’m fairly comfortable with the ...

... Once the stock sale starts people can't seem to get at them fast enough. It seems within minutes the shelves are picked clean. I turn the corner in an attempt to escape the madness and I am confronted with the hoards descending on a tea exhibitor. Like the candy booths the vultures have picked it clean within minutes.

... saying we were all thankful none of us were alone. The drop off point was a rundown
fish harbor that must have been built before Chancellor Moa’s time. We quickly
found the nearest bus and decided to just head home. It took us roughly three
    hours to get back.

The best part of the whole trip was the food we ate before

... and the Dad of one of them was joining in as well - I even got an invitation to their home, but am not allowed under my contract. A pity, as they were really nice...

Autumn is now in full swing - trees leaves are changing colour, and we get several days/nights in a row where the temp drops to low-mid 20's, then it goes back up to high 20's-early 30's. the intense heat has gone, as has most of the humidity, so its rather nice. Long may it continue!
