... is something special. Once back down, we caught our train to the base of the Zugspitze at Eibsee. We made our way from the train to the Eibsee-Seilbahn cable car station. It quickly became apparent why this was such an in demand attraction. The cable rises almost vertically for near 3km up a cliff face! Very impressive and you could barely make out the car on the cable with the naked eye. The only issue being that there were only two cables and ...

Cruising down the German autobahn towards Austria is a sight that cannot be explained properly with words. It is breathtakingly beautiful and we are both in awe of the Alps that are surrounding us. Also, ...

We planned to go to the top next, but the tram to Germany's highest peak was closed and the upper mountain was shrouded in thick cloud, so we rented a couple of mountain bikes and biked into the countryside for a few hours. The highlight of the ride was the red fox we encountered. ...

... has the tractor coming out of it. I am not a farm girl being raised in California, so I found this very interesting. I really enjoyed this place, the people and the history of it all.

Not too far from this hotel was another Castle - I am starting to think Castles are like 7-11's as I am seeing them at every turn now.....but not complaining as I think they are such a spectacular sight.
