Before arriving in Innsbruck I did a little research online and found out that it was the most dangerous airport in Europe and one of the most dangerous in the world! As a nervous flier this wasn't the most comforting of news! However, whilst being dangerous to land at due to the 8000ft mountains and short runway, it is without a doubt the most stunning approach I have ever witnessed! I would recommend visiting Innsbruck just for the incredible view from the plane!

From the view point we ambled down towards the castle, it was awesome to look out and see and endless blanket of clouds covering the horizon, even the village that was only about 200m below.
