... of people from all ages that were out and about so late now that the Sabbath was over and shops were open. People were streaming into this mall and restaurants were full even at 11pm at night.
Whilst the girls headed back to the apartment, we guys made our way to the Western Wall. It was about 11pm. We saw all the authodox Jews praying, some very animated and very loud (not showy at all). We went into the covered area right by the wall.... Going in here gets one ...

We stopped at the church of the holy sepulchre this is presumably the traditional site for the crucifixion and burial of Christ as with many traditional sites it is overshadowed by the church and it was horrifying to see people bowing and kissing the supposed burial place of Christ with all their Rosary beads & handkerchiefs

... and sang lively songs to formally begin Shabbat. We then went to the Kotel, where we danced and sang with Jews of all different backgrounds, orthodox and secular, soldiers and civilians, Israelis and fellow Jews from abroad. After a moving and inspirational Shabbat service, we returned to the hotel where we enjoyed a festive Shabbat meal and kiddush, followed by the exchanging of our "Secret Moses" gifts and some fun games.
