Pulling up at the main entrance the valet appeared who helped us with our luggage to the lobby desk before giving him the keys to the car in exchange for a receipt ticket.

... of a 2,000 year old scroll. I did the museum in a rush, seeing the art gallery and the Dead Sea Scrolls in about an hour and skipping most of the archaeological section. The art was interesting. The video installation of five metal bands playing with their amps buried underground buzzed me out. The Israel Museum was very beautiful, well done, large and overwhelming. A lot of information to take in. The Shrine of the Book is awesome in the true sense of the word. Inspiring awe in the spiritual beauty of the building, both inside and out, and in the age and importance of the parchments inside. Actual scrolls from time periods I learned about in Hebrew school.
