... for even longer and were spoilt rotten we had to leave and boarded the train bound for Scotland and we are very grateful to Elaine and Len for introducing us to their very special friends.

The train journey went well and we rumbled into Edinburgh Station without a hitch and will now see if Scotland is ready for the Griswalds .

Bye for now and talk to you all from Scotland

They left me snoozing on the site the following morning, after giving me a big belly-laugh watching them struggle down from my overcab bed...wonder how long it will be before they give up using that.... whilst they went off for a good walk and then had lunch in one of the ...

Whitby: Fishing Village with an Intriguing History

... s Wall, so I didn’t stay out late, but returned to the yacht for a quiet evening of Xbox and a movie in the Upper Salon.

The next morning we visited the Capt. James Cook museum and walking tour. I liked this little village and I could completely understand why so many Brits took their holiday here. We flew out around 4:30 PM to visit the Warwick Castle Dungeon Dinner at Tour at night.

It was a 15 minute drive to the nearest shop - perfect. The moors are dotted with public footpaths and bridleways and there were a variety of walks from the front door. It was great in April but I wouldn't have liked to contend with the narrow, steep and winding roads in frosty conditions.

... to write Dracula. I'm no big reader but I've since got myself a copy. I returned later in the day when the mist had lifted to take in the views (and get away from the crowds). Fish and chips are a must whilst in Whitby. There are plenty of seafood shops but battered and deep-fried cod is by far the best.

DRACULA'S CASTLE

... rule and developed their abbey into one of the great medieval abbeys of Yorkshire, continuing as a place of monastic life until the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry VIII. The King and his men ran amok through the countries monasteries, stripping them of their wealth. Again, the abbey was ransacked and destroyed. Tradition tells that Henry's men had the abbey bells removed and loaded onto one of their ships. In what could only be an act of heavenly retribution, the ...

Road Trip with Alex's Family to Whitby

Got invited on a random roadtrip up north with my lifelong best mate and her family. Aside from having to deal with her annoying grandmother, it was absolutely gorgeous. Didnt have a camera at the time but wish I did, there were hills and picturesque houses everywhere!
