Oslo to Gothenburg to Malmo all in one day!

Oslo, Norway to Gothenburg, Sweden to Malmo, Sweden all in one day! Yup, today is the day we made our way down to (almost) Copenhagen. We stopped in Gothenburg on the street dedicated to Posiden for lunch. Gothenburg is supposedly known as the" gastronomic metopolis of Sweden". Well, you can't prove it by me, but we did have so amazing shrimp sandwiches. There must of been a pound of shrimp on each one. We then continued on to Malmo to where the new Oresund Bridge, built in 2000, connects Swe...

More Ships only older and newer!

Again, we woke up to rain and fog, not able to enjoy the view. We did enjoy the breakfast buffet though. It was developed my the professional athletes of Norway, During breakfast we browsed through the travelers guide we had obtained from the front desk. Noticing that they offered a museum with well persevered viking ships we headed out. All I can say is WOW, UNBELIEVABLE! These Viking ships were found in separate burial chambers in Norway. According to the information given, the Vikings buil...

As a result, education is free through college, health care is free, the prevailing minimum wage is about $15/hour, and Oslo abounds with cultural attractions.

... His documentary won an Oscar though, and that was displayed as well. (Don't tell, but I think I was more interested in Oscar than the raft!) Holmenkollen - This is the most visited tourist site in Norway? Ok... Its a big ski jump. It also includes a ski museum, which I guess might be interesting if you were SUPER into skiing? And why would I want to see an exhibit about the Royal Family skiing? Although, I may not love skiing enough to really ...

... right at the northern end of the Eidfjord, and Josh made friends with a friendly 82 year old local who was riding around on his shmicko ride on wheel chair and had a brand new digital camera, he spoke great English - like the largest part of the population here does here. We stayed out of town in Bergen because the town has tolls at its entry points and expensive car parks. Norway is such an expensive country to travel in, but totally worth it as it's such a beautiful ...

... someone on the train translated the announcement that the train system was down and that we were not going any further for at least an hour. People got out and walked, some stayed on board the train. 5-10 minutes later another announcement said we were going as a far as Froen station which was 1 stop from a station where we could connect to a tram or bus back to Oslo. Eventually the train did run all the way back to Oslo S ...

... wasn't a cloud in the sky but the wind was a bit chilly which required the emergency winter jackets we had brought along just in case. We walked along the harbour, admiring the icy blue waters which penetrated the Oslofjord (although geologically it's a bay and not a fjord) and the white elegant vessels that ebbed upon it. If there was anything ...

... artists. There is also a modern art section with coloured triangles and black lines. Difficult to believe what they call art nowdays, but more importantly the free toilet was very pleasing to see. Of the places i did go, i would definitely recommend Vigeland Park with over a hundred statues of naked men, women and children in stone and bronze, for me that is more like art. However that was not my actual reason to visit and makes an ideal picnic ...
