... reached the bus stop we then experienced a fight between a homeless skateboard dude and an afro-american woman who wasn't pleased about something. Feeling slightly unnerved, we thanked our angel that the bus came, driven by a bus driver who's voice could of been used to star a character from the Simpsons. The bus was to go see the famous Warner Bros which was a highlight, not so much for the chance of seeing celebrities, but for the huge and flexible ...
This morning we need to do the last bit of packing and leave a tip for the housekeepers. They have looked after us well on this stay. Then we started to do the Tetris thing with our luggage into the car. We came with four people suitcases and hand luggage. When we picked up the car we had a bit of knee loading. On the way back we have three more duffel bags as well. Very tight but using everyone’s ideas we got a good solution.
... Today started with an early wake-up of 8am to head off to San Diego for another NFL game, Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers. Leaving early in hope of getting there just after 10am for parking, as advised by Qualcomm Stadium, was a good plan until we hit roadworks just outside of LA. Being a Sunday, limited work was being done while closing off 3 out of the 4 lanes on the highway, therefore this delayed us 40 min but was not as big of a problem ...
... considering living this boat lifestyle again.
Every once in a while, something goes wrong on your holiday. Unfortunately today was not one of the best. Even though everything fell under the category of first world problems, it was hard finding a silver lining on today's cloud.
Ted and I woke up early as we prepared to make our final departure from our cruise today. We had actually already arrived in Fort Lauderdale, but there were no arrangements yet ...
... Shane got his photo :) Back to the bus to check out downtown LA, including the oldest street. We got off the bus again and took a short stroll, it has a very heavy Mexican feel :) lots of sombreros and those Mexican wrestling masks. We headed towards union station and took a few outside pics. We got back on the bus and got taken back to our hotel. Exhausted after a huge day we actually skipped dinner...booked tickets for our next day at Universal and went to sleep! ...
