    ... coming and going... I asked for water... an at first a bit grouchy worker.. blurted out 'What do you want'? I explained to him my plight of thirst...

    anyway he wound up being friendly after all and took me in one of the company trucks to a well.. and I pumped out some potable water...

    Ghosts of the Civil War... lurk in the bushes... here, they have Blue eyes... I saw them....Stay tuned for day 15...

    ... they make us feel so very much at home, and we enjoy our time with Kathy and Gary and the extended family.
    On our last night (Labor Day night), we had the added excitement of a tornado warning just as we were all going to bed (Gary was asleep already!) - so we gathered down in the basement for a half hour - no harm, no foul!

    Some things are happening here. We have a new roof!! Gutters, Downspouts and
    new window are still to come in a "few" days. The roof does look good though.

    Motorhome repair shop has checked the wipers and installed the slide topper awnings.
    the rest of the awnings should be in next week. Then we need to get tires. There's

    ... to the casino to look around - so many slot machines with many folks playing. We played a few, and then went to dinner at Charlie Gittos - delicious! We had the toasted ravioli that is said to be THE thing to eat in St. Louis. It was very yummy - dipped in marinara sauce. As a main course we had veal saltimbocca - not as good as Kelly's but quite tasty. Our waitress was great. After dinner we wandered around the casino again - Kelly played ***** just a bit, ...

    ... restaurant called "Bar Italia" and actually sat outside! It was a good day!

    Off tomorrow to Gravette, AR to visit military friends for a couple days.

    As you can see by the photo, we decided to bring the "office wives" along on the trip. May be a little crowded, but they can help pay for the gas! It was $3.99 when we filled up today.
