... times can drag you down and pull you into yourself and away from people. But if you are strong enough to admit you need help, willing to accept it and give it in your turn, then those tough times become a conduit for friendships to thrive. They show you who you can count on when you are at your lowest, and there is no better feeling than knowing that your friends have your back when you need them, and that you have their backs as well. Nachos & Scaffolding

... done.

At 1PM I met up with Emma for lunch. We both had lunchtime off today because our shifts started late, so we decided to go out for a meal that doesn't include sandwiches. We went to the Turf, which I've decided is my favorite pub in Oxford. I got the yummy pulled pork nachos again, and we just sat and chatted and had a real lunch. It was lovely to relax and talk about life outside of the program and not feel rushed to ...

... shocked that the kids didn't like my song. After I finished I walked back with Pete and Kate, and Pete was surprised too that the kids didn't like it, as were Michael and Larry. Pete is going to help me buy a new keyboard for the program, because somehow we managed to lose the one I used last year. There are paths all around the property and I believe even one of the long walking paths for the Cotswolds runs down the side. This was perfectly set on a hill in the middle of fields of wildflowers and lush grass. This area was dammed off back in the day to create a moat in
defense of the castle. They even jousted on top of the wall of the dam. The roads are pretty narrow here and I ...

... I stayed here on one of our trips to the United Kingdom more than ten years ago. We met Jan. Her three children are in town.....Nathan with wife Lori, Stephanie and Walter. All of us spent a few hours socializing, reminiscing and talking about John Schroeder's life and the funeral coming up tomorrow. We reminisced over a lot of memories of people we jointly knew and who would be coming to the funeral.

It was a very wonderful visit.
