    The schools in Hoogeveen held their own version of "De Vierdaagse" ("The Four Days Event") - a four day walking tour held every year in Holland (in Nijmegen). We had planned to do the real thing, but could not register in time to participate.

    ... I knew we were at the border when everyone started looking like they were fresh out of the sound of music.     ... in German was a challenge, but we tried our best. After the service, a couple men came up to us to tell us that they were related to us as well! Such a friendly, friendly people and church.
