      ... trip status announcements, and a gift shop that was better than the airport ones. I bought a winter hat. Have been trying to find one for a long time. Right, Ryan??? (Ryan was with me during several Winterfairs with me trying to find a hat!) We noticed that there was not a great deal of diversity on the ferry. Mostly Asians!       ... and Ann M (we know from work) We now had a crew of eleven, eight of which were veterinarians (minus Dave, Tom, and Kristy). We exchanged pleasantries and scattered for a bit of free time. Horia and I decided to hit the liquor store were we stocked up on beer and Canadian Whiskey for the next few days.       ... tides. Today was a negative low tide. That means it was below what would be considered the zero mark for a low tide. Even a 1 or 2 foot tide will expose some interesting sea life, but a minus 0.5 foot tide would prove to be even more interesting.

      ... morning we headed back into Victoria and the sun was shining so we decided to take advantage of this and explore the large park in downtown. The park has a series of ponds filled with turtles and ducks and a petting zoo which allows peacocks to roam.
