    ... we were correct on that second assessment. It took Jess 40 minutes to get through registration and then another 10 or 15 to get her picture taken for her student ID.     I traveled to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, today to see the wildlife artist, Robert Bateman, give a talk at the Royal Museum. I loved the talk.     ... reflected in sunset coloured waters made it an even more memorable experience. A humourous busker who liked to involve the crowd provided entertainment on the marina edge on the walk home. Juggling fire and riding on an insanely high unicycle seems to be popular choice of act here in Canada, because I've seen a similar act in Vancouver, and Quebec City! Although the jokes are usually a bit different, ie "I've practised this act with my brother, who is now my sister"(!) ...

    ... Seems they just have no idea. Not sure if Australians are bought up differently??? Anyway... That's yesterday's news... We have booked 3 nights here and a flight out of Victoria to Calgary, as it was going to end up more expensive and time consuming to travel by train to the Rockies. We will have 2 weeks of hiking and camping... So now we just need to find camp sites and cooking stuff. Food here isn't cheap... Especially ...
