      Our final full day in Phuket was one spent in the room due to Trace and I both feeling as though we had been kicked in the guts several times by the local Thai kick boxing champ. Not sure what caused the problem other than it may have been a dodgy Singha in the batch consumed the night before. As a result immodium and buscapan were the order of the day to stem the pain.       ... we have great accom and the resort is lovely and the beach is long and a picture.
      Both shattered but cleaned up and I walked the beach took an hour or two and interspursed with a few swims, great waves to body surf and the water is a perfect temperature.At our digs we have huge room and proper bathroom, a nice change from some places we stay at but all part of the fun.

      ... about this time there was a handy interruption from a baby elephant named Valentine (born on Feb 14) walking through the hotel near the pool. This gave the kids a chance to pat the elephant and the mahout had them hosing him off on the sand. I think he had the elephant continue to roll in the sand just to keep having something for them to wash off. Aaron was great with her so hopefully this bodes well for our trip to the ...
