First refuel didn't go great as I overfilled the starboard tank and created a bit of a slick which thankfully the dockies helped me clean up. Rookie. We did hire a bike from the hotel to have a drive around. Ao Nang reminded us of a Spanish resort, with a promenade and loads of restaurants and souvenir shops. One thing we did notice was the numerous blue tsunami signs telling us how far away we were from the nearest safety area, they were hit quite bad in 2004 although you wouldn't ...

... puking from 3 am till the next night. Unfortunately, the next morning was the day we had booked the elephants! :( Eager to make it to the elephants we tried to rally. After a morning of vomiting, an almost vomit in the car, and a vomit on the side of the road up to the elephants, we made it there... only to vomit more. Mallory's nausea wasn't as bad as mine at first, but about an hour in she got dizzy. The Patara elephant farm people were INCREDIBLY kind. They sent ...
