          ... and Mississippi. It mostly follows the gulf along with all the bayous along the way. There are these great stilt houses on both sides of the road, and water is everywhere. All of the stilt houses look new since we were here in 2001. Most were destroyed in one of the hurricanes that had passed through since then. They were still great to look at.

          ... porch for reading time....alone. The gals "herded" a bit but traded off to also have some private time. The best part for me always, is sitting on the beach watching all the action to the rhythmical sounds of the ocean..
          Dinners were late and filled with wonderful conversations so sometimes the nightly movie was enjoyed by only a few diehards. A great vacation and I hope, a repeating one.
