We started out from another road and hiked 3 hours through trails that had lots of forks, finding several times that we were going in the wrong direction. However we were more familiar with the topography and features so that kept us giong in the right general direction. The hike goes al over the place, through an old WW2 tank farm and down a steep mud sice cliff where we used a rope down into the lower Sigua falls ...

Weve got some big storms brewing out here so i have a feeling well be hunkering down. We have already evacc-ed all the aircraft possible for a cyclone thats heading for us tomorrow morning... Update... all the storms passed and the worst we got was 30-50 mph winds and heavy showers!

... WWII artifacts, coconut crabs, and beautiful palm trees the jungle makes for a real cool hike. We also cut through and old cave which supposedly housed cavemen wayyyy back in the day. The cave opens up pretty much to the picturesque view of the base of Orote Point. The base envelops huge cliffs surrounding a shallow pool of oceanwater with protrudin rocks growing with vegetation. This goes from pulling out your regulator underwater, exhaling and then clearing it from clearing a flooded mask to towing tired divers and cramp removal. we took breaks inbetween each confined water dive and got ready for our first open water. So, figuring that they eventually led to the lower Sigua Falls that we were looking for we followed a strenous trail that eventually led us to what is known as "Upper Sigua Falls". ... luonnonaltaat, joissa voi kelluskella kuin porealtaassa. Tämä oli meidän saarikierroksen kivoimpia pysähdyksiä ja tuli todella tarpeeseen kuumassa autossa hikoilemisen jälkeen. Tongan Beach Tälläisen nimen omaava ranta ei voi olla muuta kuin upea! :-) Ja sitä se olikin... ... tarvittavan, 24 tuntia vuorokaudessa, mutta nytpä ei enää saanutkaan! Aivan hirveä jano ja käveltiin ulkona pimeydessä etsimässä jotain paikkaa, mistä saisi juomista, mutta ei yhtään mitään! Lopulta löydettiin yksi automaatti hotellista, josta sai jotain hikistä Coca Colaa, mutta kyllä tässä nyt tulee Japanin automaatteja ikävä! Nyt ei jaksa enää yhtään mitään ja vaikka aamiainen kuluukin tässä hotellissa hintaan, niin taatusti en herää siihen aikaan! Menkööt... Ehkä iltapalalle sitten! :-)

Our new friend Margaret took us out sight-seeing on Saturday. We started at the beautiful Two Lovers Point . This overlook is a popular spot for weddings, especially with Japanese tourists. There is a wedding chapel there, but we weren't able to go inside because there was a ceremony that afternoon.

... bag had left Dallas. They said it had, and should be to Guam at 2:15 a.m. Monday morning, arriving on the same nightly flight we took. Gee, I hope my bag wasn't hungry (ha-ha). The airlines promised to deliver my bag by 9 a.m. Monday morning, only 1 hour after I was scheduled to be at work. At least I had something to wear now-one never knows when a mall will come in handy!
