... as I thought it might be but the wind was killer. Looking at all the people in their big jackets and gloves made me realise how cold it is getting. Our hosts even sent us an email last night to tell us it is going to get pretty cold today and into the next couple. We eventually found the grocery store and picked up our essentials. A nice assorted mix of salads, pizzas and sandwiches at Times Square. Ordered a big box of salad - choose our own dressing. A nice treat to myself while it is raining and the temperature as low as 6 degrees. And this is just the beginning of the further ...

... but instead have a nice coffee and head to Brooklyn for breakfast. Coming out of the subway we meet Roddison and his wife, they have been there since 8am. They have bright welcoming smiles that would light up a darkened room. We get chatting - a tony and Roddison and me and his wife. ... 233;s in our room. Very nice little routine! Tomorrow we are in bar harbour and we have to take little boats to shore. We have priority tender passes and get escorted before everyone else which saves a lot of time and queues! Really enjoying the extras that come with the haven suites . It's an amazing ship and the food has been great. Last nights steak ...

... second favourite building in NYC- the flatiron building after which the tedious walking continued to get back to our original destination.

There was a massive line at tkts so we decided to come back later after we went to get lunch at ruby Tuesdays. I had a really nice salmon, and his meal was also good, but Dad downgraded the recommended tip of 18% down to 12%, just because! I love it!
