... off the dense island of Male’ and today I arranged to head over to one of the resort islands for an overnight stay the day before I head back to the states. This resort is one of those you see that has villas built in the lagoon and that you walk out of into the water.
Although I wish I wasn’t going solo on this, it is pretty exciting to be going! Stay tuned for pictures and ...

    A very magical moment!

A little unlucky we were looking for whale sharks. We had 2 dives on spots where they usually are, but not this trip. Later, a sea turtle bumped his way around a coral mound but we noticed one of his front flippers was missing. He more-than-likely got tangled in a fishing net. Hopefully the shelter of the lagoon keeps him safe from predators.

We spent the whole day swimming and snorkeling in the ocean and the pool with the big group of kids that were with us on the trip. In the morning, I was putting on my snorkeling gear and a small baby shark swam right by me! It was so cool but also a little scary. We also built a lot of sand castles and took lots of photos. The resort had amazing food at the buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate by the pool almost ...
