    ... area, which is a great spot to practice, being here in mid-desert. We saw several fighter-bombers come in to land. I also have a few shots of these planes.


    Fallon is a town of about 5,000 folks. We're parked in a Casino RV Parking Lot, which suits us just fine. We had a good lunch in the cafe and "invested" a few not-very-hard-earned dollars at the machines. No luck, no foul...

    ... to get about 6" of snow and Ken wants a snowman. He’ll get one tomorrow. Heading back to our room we were walking through the casino on the way to our rooms and found Dave getting more money out of an ATM machine. I walked up behind him and said "Sir this ATM doesn’t work.” It took him a couple of seconds to realize it was

    ... handy even though we only had overnight bags with us, not our full set of luggage. The hotel was really cute; modern and with a real natural feel, and even though we arrived early, we were still able to check in and grab a room. We left our bags in the room, and then went for a walk down the main street around us to find some lunch. We found a cute little cafe that did some really nice sandwiches and that was cheap as well - always a plus.

    We stopped in Tahoe City and had lunch in Rosie’s Cafe. The food was great and the ambience was very alpine with the addition of stuffed mooses on the wall. There was an upstairs with air hockey and some other games for the kids. Rosie had "chicken-fried-steak" a standard fare item.
