We were up and out by 8.30am after breakfast in the hotel. It wasn't a quick affair today as a different staff member was on the counter. He seemed very slow and the queue was out to the door. By the time I got served I was losing the will to live and he then left my order half made to take a call on his mobile in the back kitchen. I totally lost my rag and asked one of the baristas to tell him to come back and finish serving me. I think he knew I was ...

We then continued on to camp where as soon as we had set up the tents I jumped straight in the shower. Now that was ...

Most of the group met up at Emerald Bay then headed back in our pairs or small group. At Vikingsholm again I changed in to bathers and had a beautiful swim; it was cool at first but very refreshing after the 6 mile hike. There were people kayaking and stand up paddleboarding, and quite a few boats around.
Then it was a steep walk back up to the van. We made stops at the shops then raced back to camp for very quick showers while Amanda got us ...

... off to the remarkable beauty of Emerald Bay and more scary mountain roads. Back then to the village of Heavenly and an unscheduled stop at a Thai massage day spa. Rub down over and back to the hotel for a spot of lunch. It's the day before Independence Day so everyone is in a heightened sense of something and Reception has just delivered our tickets to tomorrow's grand party to include spit roasted hog, unlimited drinks and the world famous firework display over ...
