After a seven hour flight we arrive in a foggy Zurich with a thud and a four hour layover. Oh the joys of airport purgatory. Tired, stiff and nothing to do for hours on end except watch the people walk by. 3 hours latter we board our Swiss air A330 flight to Mumbai. Getting closer. After another 7 hours in the air we finally arrive in Mumbai. Sleepy and stiff we make our ...

I stayed with them at their home in Utzenstorf (small town with a population of 4000, about 30 minutes from Berne) who thoroughly spoiled me whilst visiting. ... is in the very heart of the old town and they told us stories of how ruthless people can get when one of the spaces become available for rent!

We had raclette with a grill on top for meat. Raclette is cheese melted in these scoops by individuals then added to potatoes, meat, pickles and salad. Another regional dish. Lots of wine and laughter to accompany the evening.

Don't get me wrong, Switzerland is a pretty place! But its very hard to enjoy it when the weather is average and everything is so expensive. We didn't get to see all the sights we had planned, which was a bummer, but we still made the most of our time here and tried to see what we could.

A couple of really nice Americans we met in Zurich were doing a day trip to Lucerne the same day we were traveling here, so we spent some of the day with them. We had a ...
