... were able to finally get seats going in a forward direction #woohoo! As we left France and entered Switzerland, it wasn't long until we notice light snow on the hills, and then on homes. So we must be heading in the right direction, for cold temperatures and hopefully snow. We arrive in Zurich, first thing we wanna do in buy the Zurich Card, so it will pay for all our train travelling. We wait in line for 15mins to purchase the Zurich Card and the train tickets ...
... the traditional guilds of Switzerland and where to get the best Swiss hot chocolate. Our tour ended at the Cathedral and after a quick snoop in the church we headed for lunch. Lunch was insanely expensive and all we ordered was a bowl of soup and a small charcuterie board. It took a good half an hour for us to come down from the shock. We got back to Lucerne tired out. It was a good thing we had a free day the next ...
... We couldn't have had a better day to arrive in Zurich. The sun was out and it was beautiful. We had arrived early enough in the day that the streets were mostly quiet. We didn't have any major sights to see, we were just taking in the the city and really enjoying stretching our legs after the long flight. It ended up being a really nice break before boarding the train and heading to Lucerne where we would spend our first two nights.
