Happy birthday Nick! 25 years young. Unfortunately on his birthday we had to drive 10 hours. We left at 11am to Warrensburg, MO to deliver our bunnies, Maggie and Sam to Kristin. She is a nice girl who responded to my craiglist ad to foster our bunnies. She has ...

... another portion of America seen from the windows of my car. Fortunately the time passed quickly as we continued listening to our Michael Connelly book on tape (book on ipod? recorded book? i dunno. none have the same ring). We're regular detectives by this point the way we've been throwing out all sorts of conjectures about the murders. Harry Bosch is keeping us on our toes...erm...on the edges of our ...

Once I put my tongue back into my mouth we headed west along I80. At Des Moines we cut down I35 to route 34 then south on 59 and back west on 2 into Lincoln, NE. This is the real America, where real people do the real work. Where homes are seperated by vaste fields of grain. Where towns are few and far ...
... crushes the fear! I encourage any of my friends to join me on any part of the trip, but I have always been independent and will have to trust my instincts. The only downside is I have to skip certain countries I would love to see, simply b/c traveling as a single female is too dangerous. I hope this blog will help you in planning future trips and I can't wait to start blogging on the road! Stay posted for schedule updates.
Omaha, Nebraska, United States ashleyduling... adjacent to the cemetery, is a beautiful and moving tribute to the sacrifice of those early Saints. We have marveled at the faith, courage and strength of our pioneer ancestors who traveled much of the same route of this concert tour on foot, horseback and wagons over weeks and months through muggy, oppressive humid conditions, while we are able to traverse the same route in air-conditioned coaches in a matter of hours.

... zone so we had to go back through security. Of course this was after our bags were checked and Jim found out that the bottles he was carrying from the duty free store in Lima could no longer go as carry on. He finally ended up giving it away, but was able to save a unique bottle once it was empty. Fortunately, we had plenty of time between flights to get all that sorted out. We even had time to get a bite to eat. Then it was on to ...
Papillion, Nebraska, United States sjl901... appreciated the help.
Brian took us to the airport where we met the Kings. After checking in we all had lunch together...Jim, Carol, Chad, Todd, Joyce, Brian, and me. After lunch the boys took off and we headed to security. Our plane was a little late leaving, but nothing major.
We are to leave tomorrow and it is snowing in Omaha. The forecast
started at 1-2 inches. Now it is up to 5-8, tapering off at noon. Our
flight is scheduled to leave at 3:15 so we may be okay if the morning
flights don't back up and if the flight comes in from Dallas so it can
return to Dallas. This is shaping up to be like the time we went to
Sedona and the morning flights canceled. The other bad part is we have
a tight connection in Miami.
