Rathaus Strasse 1 Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany, 38440, 5361-2070
Today we took the S-Bahn to the University and I showed her where I go to class and where my institute is. Then we took the scenic walk back to the Altstadt, through the parks and along the river. We got supplies for the feast and headed back to Weststadt to help out. Surprisingly everything turned out ok. We played basketball and football before everything was finished ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepWe headed to the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof to get tickets back to Braunshweig. We stopped in Hannover for 1 hour and we quickly walked through some of the shopping section. We were tired when we finally arrived so we hung out in my room for a while just relaxing. We hung out with all of the URI students in Weststadt and it was a lot of fun.
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... time we got there (after going inside to get some ice cream) it was around 7:30 and people were already lining up to see the show filmed. They had a stage set up and fences for the dancing area. We weren’t dressed up so we just watched, but it was hard since Germans are so tall! There was a small screen that streamed the show from the VW Halle but it was still far away. My camera worked great since I could hold it up and still see the picture. They tried to pump up the ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... yet. They think it is still for vampires and gross skin conditions. There was a live band for a while which was good but a bunch of us left after that to catch the bus. Then a bunch of us stopped by the Schloss to get Doeners at Beyti which were amazing.
A Doener is a sandwhich type food with lamb or chicken in a pita topped with different types of slaw, and vegetables and 4 types of sauce.
... some fun. We wrote our names down on index cards and then we were put on random teams for 15 mintue games. All the players on each winning team got a shinny ribbon and whoever collected the most ribbons won a prize. We didn't realize that the tournament lasted from 8:30pm -6am!!! So we left around 11. It was a lot of fun, but some of the Germans were very intense and I had no idea what they were telling me to do sometimes!
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiepToday we graduated from Summer School yaay! We had a mini ceremony where we received our papers saying the hours we completed and our grades. The teachers each gave a small speech but at least it was fairly short. I passed and got 6 credits towards my German major ...
Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... got to eat free currywurst in the cafeteria which was really good. Then we were able to explore on our own if we wanted and then head back to Braunschweig. That night we also had another party for the completion of our summer classes. We had to make our own food again, so I made barbeque chicken, and everyone else made really good food. The place where it was located is tricky to get to but it was fun.
Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany plcouttsiep... t do it for me. I actually payed to go to the Autostadt 2 days. The first day was an evening session and got me free dinner. The second day I went to do a speed course. I.e. Learn how to control a car at fast speed around a wet track. But, it was all booked out. So I just headed back to the museum and looked at old cars. I liked the Autostadt, but it was full of pavilions for the brands that Volkswagen owns and big statements in Italics ...
Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany bharden... from the Towers and again via an underground conveyor ends up in the KundenCentre (collection building), where the happy customer can then drive away.
At this time they are clearing 600 cars a day due to the German governments scrappage scheme boosting new car sales.

... are no longer in use, they have been turned into a museum. We took the same train the last miners would have taken into the mine (not as comfortable as the German high speed trains at 250 kph) to see how copper, silver, tin, and other ores were extracted. It was really hard to say goodbye to Nadja's family. We were able to spend many hours together learning about Germany (and understanding things about our own nation and ourselves). However, we wanted ...
