    Day Five – The Long Road Home

    We slept in late, which was good. We had a six hour drive home. Oh no, six hours with Garmin and Kim telling me how to drive. Because it was a holiday weekend, there were a lot of cops on the Ohio highways. After a few close calls, I slowed down a little. After I got through Columbus, I turned Garmin off. I could not find the off switch for Kim, so she back-seat drove for most of the trip!!!

    ... 1996. However, the month of May stated to turn against the series. Several cars got airborne and a wreck during the first day of qualifying panicked the series management and they reduced turbocharger boost. The cars also had to qualify in race trim rather than special trim for qualifying. It made the series look bad for making these changes. People started talking that the race would be terrible with these changes!!

    ... see a huge monument to Lucy, her grave was modest and like many others. For those of you who aren't Lucy fans, the red hearts that lead you to her grave are the same as those used at the beginning of I Love Lucy TV show. Lucy died following a heart transplant operation on April 26 1989.
