    Vroeg opgestaan en eerst naar het Zion national park gereden. Al een erg mooie weg er naar toe dus dat beloofde wel wat. In het park moesten we verder met een shuttlebus, halverwege uitgestapt om een wandeling van ongeveer 3,5 mijl te maken naar een kleine waterval en een paar poeltjes. Leuke wandeling met heuveltjes en trappen, wel lekker …

    ... that belonged to Gina's grandmother that she wanted but it was too big to send in the mail - would we mind bringing it back with us? "Of course not", we replied, "We have plenty of room." They arrived with this HUGE trunk, but we still could fit it in and had lots of laughs about it. Off we went out to a delicious dinner with good friends. Tomorrow we start our adventures again.

    ... and their long vacations...

    The next day I rode from the Horse Creek campground on Kaweah Lake to halfway up the steep climb up to Sequoia. The lake is at 1000 ft, but the park attractions are at 6000 ft. Most of the climb is up a steep, winding road. I guess I wasn't used to riding in 90 degree heat, because last several miles of the 42 mile ride were not so fun. I think I was nearing heat exhaustion at that point :)

    ... to Steve resulted in his finding two keys that might be the missing ones, but we couldn't make a positive I.D. After Steve determined that he was pretty sure they didn't open anything in his possession, he got on his motorcycle and rode the 22 miles to Pinole to deliver the keys to us.     ... it awkward to stay on so I think he was trying to see if he could knock people off. Then myself and Nick went on at first I took the easy side as on one side you get flipped off on any sharp corner - when I went on this side I lasted about 30 seconds. Then I went with Jack and we decided to cross arms to see if it was better just as I said oh this way is better I flipped off and had to be retrieved from the water.
