Pittsburgh was not really what I expected. A dirty feeling city but had a fantastic river frontage area with plenty of activities to get the locals out on a nice day.

Wow love Ohio. Don't know why you moved to New Zealand Curtis when you had this.
Reminds me so much of New Zealand with beautiful farms and rolling countryside yet in the Hocking Hills region it was like the bush area around Rotorua. Their corn and ...

We spent our first night at the Holiday Inn Express in Belle Vernon, across from Hoss's.

We started the next day with an early morning breakfast at Eat'nPark with our PA friends. After breakfast, we went to see my Dad and grand parents' graves, and then we hit the road.

They do not wish to have pictures taken of them or their places so ...

Day of relaxation today. Breakfast was in the lodge dining room from 8-10am; eggs, bacon, and sausage, waffles, fruit and yoghurt and pastries. The morning activity for those that were interested was a golf tournament. Vicki, Deb and myself (the Anzacs) watched the first group start from the first tee then went for a walk around the houses. Barb, one of the locals not playing golf, showed us around the original cottages and also some large new houses that have been built ...

... organised a rental car so we forced our bags into the boot and got on our way. The drive to Pike Run Country Club is an hour and forty five from Pittsburgh Airport. We skirted the edge of the city and drove out into the countryside following the instructions on google maps. None of us had brought the instructions provided by Tom and Becca. We stopped for lunch en route at a very nice cafe. The guys ordered a beer but it was BYO only which was probably a good ...
