We spent our first night at the Holiday Inn Express in Belle Vernon, across from Hoss's.
We started the next day with an early morning breakfast at Eat'nPark with our PA friends. After breakfast, we went to see my Dad and grand parents' graves, and then we hit the road.
For the first part of our trip, we took the back roads through Mt Pleasant, Donegal, and more. At Breezewood we got on to the turnpike for the rest of the ride.

... a live band played several sets. Several of the band members are from Switzerland (Becca played with them when Tom and Becca were living there) and some of Becca's family also played several pieces. Lots of fun but I suspect there will be a few sore heads tomorrow as there was an open bar. ... I counted 38 people on the bus and there were a only few empty seats. I started thinking about the plane that crashed into the Potomac in the 80s which had taken off from the same airport. I had a window seat and got a good view of the Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery from the air rather than the river and DC. The flight to Pittsburgh only took an hour.
