... Amsterdam and then over the ensuing years. We exchanged letters and Christmas cards, keeping in touch with the important moments in both our lives, such as the birth of our respective children and other major life events. As the internet took over our lives, we became Facebook friends, which allowed us to keep in touch more often with the day-to-day occurrences in each other's lives. And now here she was, dropping everything and visiting with us on our trip. This ...

A travel blog entry by samfader on Oct 26, 2014

... Then we jumped on a train to Coney Island, only to get kicked off halfway down and all trundled onto a shuttle bus. Boo. But we finally made it! Coney Island is really cool with a long boardwalk separating the beach from a massive strip of side show rides and games. Had a wander through but didn't go on any as ash was too scared for the wooden cyclone roller Coaster and then didn't want to upset his stomach after lunch. Lame. For lunch we had ...

... River - and of Manhattan itself, the other islands in the vicinity and Brooklyn. The ferry stopped on the Brooklyn side under the bridge so we decided to get off to walk the bridge. It was something that Ang had earmarked to do anyway. We bought ice creams at the lighthouse and did the one way approximate half hour walk across it. It's well worth doing for the views and the walk. Also it's free. The walkway is above the motor vehicles. Back on the Manhattan side, Jolanta ...
