... fact that we have slept on many different mattresses over the past year we believed Rick's back just needed a rest. He literally spent the entire week at Palm Desert in a lounge chair with a heating pad and aspirin. The back got no better but the calendar told us it is time to leave the desert, catch an early dinner with my mother and then hop on a flight to Santa Rosa to visit our dear friends, Richard and Lyn.
... to do and not do when snorkeling in the bay (if you sign the guest register after the movie, if you return to the bay within 365 days you won’t need to watch the movie again). I brought my own mask and snorkel but rented fins and a locker for my things. The snorkeling in the bay was quite good since the depth is fairly shallow, you could see a lot of fish. I saw the biggest parrotfish I’ve ever seen in my life; this thing was huge.

... We were about 30 mins walk short. Stopped at a further stop & caught the 'Big Blue Bus' which are Santa Monica buses & actually run the whole way from our hotel without us having to change and it was only 50c each! (The other bus had only been $1.50 so it wasn't too bad). Santa Monica is quite a long way out - about an hour (without errors!)

... into another outfit and rushed to this meeting room in the hotel to be there at 5pm. We were a few minutes late and almost everyone was there already. Menina luckily still had to start talking so we were technically still on time. We got a program handed out and an overview of who was in which rooms.
