... there was no loo seat in our bathroom. They had a swimming pool that was so small only one person could use it at a time. I'm sure the pool was only built so the owner could perv at all the female guests in their bikins.
Merida can be summed up in one sight - the toursit bus driving around town with one lonely tourist sitting in the back row. I almost got on it just to satisfy my curiosity about what 'sights' there actually were to take tourists to. I did get quite excited ...
... was thinking or just leaving us hanging in suspense just for the craic? Anyway we drank up their for a while and met a couple of Girls from Worcester and Sheffield, there`s not actually been that many British travellers to speak of its a bit of a novelty. Have met mostly European and American so far. Their was some good music here and at about 2am me Fred and the Canadian guy got a cab into town, the place we wanted to go the other night, and managed to get into an Irish ...
Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico garyjampot... dried shrimps, Christmas lights, raw ducks.......In the end I stopped and had some lunch from a stall as I needed the energy to carry on fighting my way out of the place. Eventually some kid on a sweet stall who had probably seen me walk past about seven times told me to go through the shoes (about half a kilometre of them) and hang a left and bingo - I have never been so happy to see a Metro station in my life.
On Saturday I decided to stay away from the smoggy city centre ...
... area almost desert like with the lack of greenery and dust covering almost every part of the landscape. Although i had forgot to bring my hat there was no way that i was going to buy a tourist hat with "i was at Teotihuacan" so we made do with just wrapping tshirts around our heads in an almost Arab like style. Once inside the grounds our attention from the heat was diverted to actual structures that we were presented with. It was massive, with a range ...
Teotihuacan, Mexico elrigsterAngangueo - Gateway to the Monarch Butterflies ----------------------------- This high altitude pueblo is located 3 hours (by bus) north-west of Mexico City in the state of Michoacan ----------------------------- I grew up in Windsor , Ontario and spent a lot of weekends at Point Pelee National Park which is Canada 's southernmost point. This fact is better illustrated by saying that it is on the same latitude as Northern California . Therefore it is ...

Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico pavel.jares... but we still had quite a walk until the pyramid of the sun. so off we hiked. the pyramid of the sun is 60m high, and 200m wide around its base, with 5 levels. a lot of lactic acid, heavy breathing, and crawling on our hands and knees in the steep places matt and i gave each other a high 5. this is exactly what we came for. lunch, a few sketches later and we are heading back down the steep slopes. the views are amazing. you can see for ...
Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico kariandlukeyb... taught us all how to do tequila shots the way Mexicans do them. They put the salt right on the lime, not on your hand, or so he says. He also then showed us how to do a "Muppet" in which you take a large shot glass, put salt in the bottom, tequila, then lime soda water, cover it with a folded napkin and then shake it up really good before you do the shot. After its in your mouth they shake your head all around so apparently you look like a ...
Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico btighe... we were lost...there was nothing else to do...seriously! We asked numerous people for a tourist office but no one knew where it was. So we walked to about 10 different newsagents trying to buy a map. Eventually we came across one, unfortunately, the map was size of Wicklow when opened up, so it didnīt really help us blend in! And just when things couldnīt get much worse.....a bird shat on Eoin! We were well and truly heartbroken...surely this couldnīt be Mexico City. We ...
Mexico City, Mexico jamesmc... week in Mexico, D. F. was filled with museums. We went to the Museum of Anthropology first. It is an incredibly beautiful place, both for the quality of artifacts on display and in the presentation. Highly recommended even if you don't think you're interested in pre-Columbian artifacts. We found this museum to be enough for one day's worth. The next day we hit the Bellas Artes to see the centennial celebration of Frida Kahlo. It was ...
