... to head to Canada, so I decided to camp outside of Glacier closer to the highway and get right on my way in the morning. There was a town right outside the park and a little further south than Babbs called St. Mary’s, which had a couple campsites right off the road. The one I stayed at was a family-owned place up on a hill amidst a small Aspen forest. Everything has been so green pretty much every place I’ve stayed, and this place was particularly ...

... past summer makes the 800 km Camino pilgrimage much less daunting than it might be otherwise. Some of those training hikes included Eva Lake above Mount Revelstoke, hikes around the Illecillewaet Glacier and yesterday was Balu Pass from the Rogers Pass Discovery Center. These excursions truly illustrate the dramatic and majestic nature of the Rocky Mountains that more than adequately makes them a unique wonder of the world in our very own back yard.

... holy windy...we had to stop on the hiway coming south as the crosswinds were trying to tear the awnings off the side of the RV. Standing in the fuel stop, in shorts was not unlike standing in a sandblaster...don't know how anyone tolerates living there....the good thing is that we have turned east and now have a tail wind. And so for our first night out, we had hoped to make Fort Peck as we have been here before and it is usually a good place ...
