      ... temp was around 40. Funny thing happened as we approached the 10,000 ft pass and snow covered peaks, two of our bags of chips exploded from the sudden low pressure. The sky was an ominous and undulating dark grey most of the day which matched the mysterious moonscape and was some relief from the relentless sun from the days before.       ... Cheryl did some Christmas shopping!!!!!! (Ouch). After that episode, Cheryl and I walked around the Hot Springs State Park. Saw some mud pot and walked accross a supention bridge. By that time the mineral hot springs were closed, so we headed back to the Palace on Wheels. Took Angel for her walk then played cards and drank hot cholocate. Life is ...

      ... score for the day goes, Wendy = 2 Walleye fish, Eddie = 0 Fish, Kevin = 0 fish, and Dave = 0 fish. One up for the girls!!! Woot, woot. My new title is 'Fishing *****'. The bad weather chased us home, even had a tornado warning for Wyoming (very unusual for this area apparently). Thanks to the boys for taking us out, we had a fantastic morning. Another bloody big afternoon and evening at the B & K bar, met lots more great people (mostly locals).

      Interestingly, the smoke from all the brush fires around filled the air, blocking some of the views. In the morning and again this evening, it gives the sky an eerie orange/pink glow.
