          On A Big Jet Plane

A travel blog entry by hayley.martell on Jun 18, 2015

I'm writing this from the plane from New York to LA. We had a lovely few last days in New York. Monday we went to Stephen and Brian's in the morning to pick up some Lindt chocolates that mum and Julie had bought. Mum and I wandered down 5th Avenue toward the flat iron building where we had been a couple nights earlier, thankfully I had woken up feeling a bit better. As we were walking back toward Lord & Taylor it started to spit, then really rain, since I ...

... series. I had a peek inside but didn't get anything as I was still so full from our brunch. Probably for the best!
We jumped back on The Highline and mad our way uptown. We stopped off at Artichoke Pizza which apparently you can't go past without having their Artichoke Pizza. I was stuffed but somehow Aaron was able to fit in one of those massive slices. He couldn't get the Artichoke in the end because it had about 5 ...

          New York City: Day 5

... know everything and everyone - by nickname' guy behind us. Another one came close too, but landed straight into the lap of 2 guys, so I wasn't going to try and wrestle that one. Mum and dad on the other hand had a quiet day meandering through Central Park. Dad managed to heckle with a push bike and cart rider to get his rates down from something like $150 (I may be exaggerating, possibly only $120) to $80. Trust dad! They said they really enjoyed it and recommend ...

... 15 courses, but we didn't feel over fed.

At the conclusion of the meal, my dessert came with a birthday candle and a gift box of chocolate. We were also given breakfast to take home, a freshly made granola mix. Yum.

In all about three hours, a wonderful experience. Not something you'd do every weekend, but once every 49 years, perfect. Thanks Mardi. Check out the photos for each course and more details.

... beyond our hotel to take a photo outside Radio City. On the walk back Ang spotted the Magnolia muffin store, made famous apparently by the TV series, Sex in the City. Ang has had an interest in locating places connected with the TV series. It was the right name but the wrong branch. Anyway, Ang bought a couple of things to sustain us on the walk home. We got home at midnight. The alarm is set for 7am to be picked up at 8.30am to go to the airport to fly to San Francisco fir 3 ...
