... the-future' trends of British inequality, the spread of Ebola in the Manu River Region- and I think how terrible the world has become. But the truth is that history has always been terrible, that this sense of desperation that grips me and pushes me from place to place is the one true experience- much more than joy or love- that bounds me to the greater, broader nexus of experience that is our human legacy. Just as I was on the edge of feeling deeply saddened by ...

On that note we headed back for Arcadia and are now looking forward to the sail away party at 5.30 as we head for Newport, Rhode Island. My impressions of New York have changed for the better. Getting off the bus in Chinatown yesterday was a mistake and left us feeling that Manhattan was a bit on ...

... the reason the G train isn't most hated is because if you live in Manhattan you never have to take it. The G train only runs from Brooklyn to Queens. It's only five cars long, the cars are all the horrible 1970's ones with uncomfortable seats, it only runs every 20 minutes, and is full of weirdos. Sorry regular riders of the G train - you're weird. Long Island City is on the East River in Queens. The first thing I did after getting off of the ...
