A travel blog entry by samfader on Oct 26, 2014

Had the best day today, only to have it ruined by arriving at the minskoff theatre for the. Lion King to realise our tickets were for 1pm not 7pm. IDIOTS. But the guy was aer nice and said not to worry and gave us a number to call to come to a different show. Phew. I was in tears. Backtracking a little. I've decided I need to stop packing on the pounds as my jeans are now ridiculously tight, so started the day with a juice. Was tasty, although Ash's panini ...

We slowly cruised last the Statue of Liberty and and then turned into the East river and saw the heliport with the four helicopters associated with President - two large military helicopters. So it's "good night from me; and goodnight fro him!" (For those who remember The Two ...

... the wreckage as an 8ft stump, it was nursed back to health & is now planted amongst the swamp white oaks, it has grown to 30 feet tall. A museum has opened in the last month, but the queue was too long, we had to make our way to our boat.

It's been so hot today, we did plenty of walking along the 'boardwalk' to reach our boat taking us to the Statue of Liberty, along with thousands of others. The statue is massive, photos don't give it justice, you ...

... going to the museum but as it had just opened the queue was 6 hours long so we've booked our tickets for Monday. We headed to broadway where being matinee day we were desperate to try and get tickets for of mice and men. When we saw this was playing we both wanted to see it but since it starred Chris o dowd and James Franco tickets were selling at $250 which we couldn't afford. So we turned up 10minutes before show time and they reduced some of the tickets so we could get in for $100 ...
