... enjoy the amazing view. The weather was not permissive, and we didn't even bother to get out of the car. Funnily, Mark was there twenty years ago and had rain then as well although not as much. He climbed the tower then, but didn't have a great view. Given the beautiful weather yesterday, he had hoped that this time would be better, but it ...

... as each day passed we all grew very close, and very sad, and very grateful and very wary. The not knowing when, of what you know is going to happen - well that sucks. It just does.

    - And then on March 9th we felt it. My sister felt it first actually. Dad was different. It was a Saturday night and something was just different. We should all come to the house. We should all be around him now. There's just something up. By 2 in the morning - on Sunday March 10th, he ...

Another beautiful morning in the campground... and a walking tour of downtown Asheville. Then the drive across the mountains into central North Carolina on I-40 -- crossed the Eastern Continental Divide and then a six-mile very steep downhill stretch. At Hickory I turned south and drove through the small town of Maiden to ...

Reluctantly left Jacksonville Beach EARLY on Sunday morning. Wanted to get on the road before the other Snowbirds leaving Florida got on the road (We had seen and been stuck in MAJOR traffic jams leaving Florida at the end of March). Left hotel at 6:00 AM. Beautiful sunrise in south Georgia. Virtually no traffic, arrived at Mom's early afternoon. Mom cooked dinner. got an early start on Monday, met with a Realtor at Rock ...
