    Up early yet again. Down partways for some more church pix. You show an animal affection and you've got a buddy, this time a dog who was happy to be rubbed. I would later see him in the garage dump.

    Brekkie was fried eggs, tomatoes and cukes plus a strong [perhaps Turkish] coffee. It was good after the first sip and before the final grinds.

    Off by 0830. Didn't realize Greece does not recognize an independent Macedonia, a little awkward re border crossings I ...

    ... Balkan history is very complex and rooted in centuries of ethnic rivalries. On Friday, 5/9, we traveled to Pizren which is regarded by many to be the most beautiful town in Kosovo. Friday is the Muslim holy day and it was a beautiful sunny day so the streets were full of people.
