... as much as I know I will. You were a great travel companion, and everything that I hoped came true. We did and saw everything exactly as I planned. And in your own way, you made some things even better. The bike rental in Stockholm, the side trip to Blarney...those were all you, and they made the journey complete. You have a great intuitive knack for travel...I hope in time you grow to love it! You helped take everything I ...
Renton, Washington, United States lunababy... his steadfast care and calm. Every word he speaks communicates the honor he feels to be let in, to be asked to support. No communication is taken for granted. Every time he comes home from a new family, he says how much he likes them, no matter how chaotic. I believe Alex likes being in the middle of chaos, letting it wash over him without stealing him. Remaining calm in the storm's center, offering a different way simply by being. He dislikes how ...
Seattle, United States wildwoman... that's why I love going back to Kona so much - it has become a familiar place for me. I know people there who know me and it's easy to fall in rhythm with the locals. Gina prefers Cabo for the resort and I prefer Kona for the overall place in general... and because I usually get to spend time diving with my numero uno amigo/brudda Well.. that's it! Turbulence has stopped and I still have my cookies... now if only the little girl behind me would give it a rest.... Adios Amigos!
Seattle, Washington, United States seattlemanJust thought this was an easier way of communicating with you all. If you want to respond to anything on my blog instead of signing up with Travelpod just email me on our home email as we are checking that every few days. peteandjo@adam.com.au Also I apologise for any spelling or typing mistakes as I am trying to do this all in a hurry ...
Seattle, Washington, United States joslots... to carry then around with me all day. I then decided to take a walk over to Safeco Park to check out the baseball. I headed off down 2nd Avenue in the general direction of the sports complex. I came across the Klondike Gold Rush NHP along the way, so decided to pop in - conveniently it was free to enter. This was a very interesting museum on the effects of the Klondike Gold Rush on the local area and residents. Sadly ...
Seattle, Washington, United States loxias... of the market, and walked up to the Space Needle and Science Centre, into neither of which we went, but took various "we've been to Seattle, look, here's the Space Needle" pictures, and Jacob cursed having forgotten to go to the Sci-Fi Museum. We'll be back though, in all probability. We went to find a phone in the food court of the Seattle Centre, and witnessed the horror that was the amateur flamenco display and the nasty little Christmas themed model railway. We ...
Seattle, Washington, United States jacobandkirsty... year, she told us - Chile was very expensive, she bused down to Ushuia through Argentina, El Calefate was fabulous, Fitzroy was a not to miss, Ushuia to Buenos Aires - 3 days by bus or could fly, Salar de Uyuni trips were all naff - everyones view, this trip dropped her in San Pedro then she bused to Calama. Silver Plunge Creek was a small site was well run, had solar panels, a salt lick table for the moose and doubled in winter as a snow mobile resort. Saw photos in office, forest ...
Mount Rainer, Washington, United States richandbonnie... writing this and watching 'Little Miss Sunshine' on my computer. Strange, unique little flick. One of the characters in the film, the teenaged boy in this dysfunctional family, has taken a vow of silence until he gets into the Air Force Academy. He's apparently gotten this idea from the readings of Fredrick Nietzsche, who he reads constantly. As I've never read any Nietzsche, and more shockingly given my book addiction don't even own any that I remember, I have no idea whether this ...
Seattle, Washington, United States michaelshodson... I never have time to read for pleasure and I hope to read a few good books on this trip. I asked for suggestions for some "must-read page-turners". Or even ones that are good as audio books. or Historical novels that take place in some of the places we might visit. I got some GREAT responses. I'm going to attempt to embed the responses here ...
Seattle, Washington, United States gcorbinIt was said that Lola Pura's house stretched for acres and acres...wouldn't be surprised...there were deers around the house. Their driveway is so hidden in the thicket, I wouldn't know where to turn if I had a go to drive. But one thing's for sure, this jetlag thing is not a joke. Mae and I would be out and about in Uncle Balong's ...
