... later the GPS stopped in front of Eric's favorite restaurant: Q Cumber's in Edina. We had a great time filling our plates with unique blends of salad fixings and other yummy foodstuffs. Having left no corner of the extensive salad bar unexplored, nor any section of the kids coloring page blank, the girls next directed Eric to drive us to the Mall of America for the second part of the date.

... my life for the next 2 months. I am trying to bring darker colored clothes since it will cover sweat better and it is more European. However, I wear a lot of bright clothing, so a pink shirt my sneak its way into my luggage. I even have a hostel sheet which is just a twin sized sheet that I will bring to cover the beds of any of the so-so hostels; you never know when the last time these sheets were used.
... to the conference site to attend a couple of receptions. The second one was at the Local, which is a cool old bar. Cheered the Giants to a victory in game 2 of the World Series. Then we returned to the hotel bar for their happy hour drinks and cheap food menu. Then, to bed.
Today I traded my purse for a backpack. In it- just the essentials. The next few hours will bring me closer to Paris, and by then Snooka and I will only be about half way there. This will be my 9th time flying across the Atlantic but my first with a feline travel companion.
