Hotel was well priced staff friendly but it would have been nice if they could have told me about the excursions that picked up from this hotel. La Mirada is quite a way from the airport. This was the only hotel that our 3 day San Fran trip picked up from and as the departure was 7am. I thought it best we stayed at La Mirada. I had independently booked a sightseeing trip of LA combined with a visit to Universal studios. It cost us an arm and a leg to take a cab to the meeting point. My point is I wished they had emailed me a list of excursions that I could have booked with them.

... route was very different to yesterday on the Big Sur and was less green and actually more barren. Highway 1 ploughed a route directly along the coast and clearly the construction engineers had fun blasting away the mountains. The photos haven't captured it well bit there was often a tiny strip of beach and there would be RVs (camper vans) lined up along it in their dozens with the occupants out surfing. Along the drive we came across Malibu and ...
